ATR #20: The sweet science

Put up your dukes and bite down on your mouthguard, because this episode is all about boxing movies! That Guy Named is joined by Tim Hall of The Peoples Critic blog as they discuss their most underrated & overrated boxing films, plus review the new film “Hands of Stone”.

Boxing is often referred to as “The sweet science”, so we decided to put on some lab coats and break down a few films around this topic. The main film that is reviewed on this episode is the new biopic about Roberto Duran entitled: “Hands of Stone”. The film stars Robert DeNiro, Edgar Ramirez, and Ana de Armas, and tells the tale of the amazing, and tumultuous life of the former world champion boxer; from his humble roots in Panama, and then rising to be a part of some of the biggest televised fights of that generation.
