ATI #7 – Vashti Harrison

Vashti Harrison is a filmmaker, author, and illustrator whose new book “Little Leaders: Bold Women in Black History” hit the shelves on Tuesday, December 15th. This amazingly inspirational book highlights 40 black women from the past and present and their accomplishments.

Ranging from abolitionists like Harriet Tubman, entrepenuaers and global icon Oprah, and of course the first African-American astronaut in space, Dr. Mae Jamison. This book is full of well known celebrities, as well as some fantastic stories of women who might not be familiar to most people.

A huge thank you goes out to Vashti Harrison for making the time to be on my show! Her new book is truly an inspiration and will make an excellent holiday gift for the little leaders in your life.
